Lientjie Coetzee

Optometrist

I studied at RAU (now University of Johannesburg) and obtained my Optometry degree (B.Optom) in 1997. I also did a supplementary certificate in Ocular Diagnostics (Oc.Diag. Cert) in 2011.

After working in the country side for a few years, I decided to expand my horizons and went to work in London, England as an Optical dispenser and gained valuable international experience in the fast pace retail world. I also enjoyed the island life in Trinidad for a year while working as an Optometrist and gained a new perspective of Optometry.

In 2013 Mandi and I opened Feather View Optometrists, after an extensive career, to fulfil a dream of owning our own practice.

I love my coffee and cannot perform without! I spend my free time reading and enjoy hiking. I hope to travel more to explore the world.

Optometric Assistant

The back office support, the talkative frontline staff that keeps the patients feeling as though they are part of a family. The connection between suppliers, labs and the practice. The relationship builder, and the proverbial glue that holds it all together. An avid reader in her free time and a busy mother of 3. Enjoys binge-watching Netflix as often as possible. 

To me, eyewear goes way beyond being a prescription. Its like make-up. Its the most incredible accessory. The shape of the frame or the colour of lenses can change your whole appearance.
